Cream Legbar
Cream Legbars are one of our favorite breeds of chickens. They have a crest, and some have double crests. All of ours so far have had great personalities. We are working towards breeding to the standard. There are other "colors" of this breed which includes golden, crele, white and opal (not yet recognized). We could have the possibility to have crele in our cream lines, however we do not have any opal at this time. We are working with a breeder to obtain quality Opal Legbars to offer. We will not offer any Legbar chicks from our stock yet, however, we may offer a few chicks from eggs we hatch that have been purchased from a breeder. We will not have any hatchery stock.
About the Cream Legbar:
The Cream Legbar is an auto-sexing breed! The cocks are good protectors while then hens have their calm friendly disposition. Egg colors can vary somewhat among the different lines, blue is the preferred color and a saturated definite blue is the goal of many who raise this breed. (*Our goal will be to conserve the blue egg genetics in our flock, those who lay a less than desirable color for us will be used in our colored egg pen--PLEASE NOTE: you still receive legbars that will lay a shade of green, this will take some time to weed through our flock). The Legbar is a crested, light- to medium-weight fowl.
